Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi roars in box office earning over 39 cr in 3 days

Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt starrer Hindi film Gangubai Kathiawadi is having a dream run at the box office as ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's creation earned 39.12 crore in just three days.

The film, which had earned Rs. 10.5 crore on the opening day (Feb 25), saw a big jump in collections over the weekend (Rs. 13.32 crore on Saturday and Rs. 15.3 crore on Sunday).

Gangubai Kathiawadi is the first project where Bhatt has collaborated with ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

The film is a real life story on brothel owner Gangubai Kathiawdi, who used to live in the Kamathipura area of Mumbai.

Bhatt plays the lead role of Gangubai in the film.
