Alia Bhatt-Sanjay Dutt's Sadak 2 releases amid negative reviews by critics

Mumbai: Mahesh Bhatt directed movie Sadak 2, which hit the online streaming platforms on Friday, could not earn positive reviews from film critics.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: "Just cannot be compared to its first part... Lacklustre plot... Lethargic and lifeless screenwriting... Music doesn’t work either... Terrible waste of the brand [#Sadak] and talent associated with this film. #Sadak2Review."

In its review, NDTV said: "Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt's Film Is A Ride Best Avoided."

The Indian Express headline reads: "A terrible film."

Hindustan Times said in its review: "

Sadak 2 movie review: One of 2020’s worst films, take this trip at your own risk."

The movie was released amid nepotism debate.

Apart from Alia Bhatt and Aditya, 'Sadak 2', which has been directed by Mahesh Bhatt, also stars Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt in pivotal roles.Produced by Mukesh Bhatt under their banner Vishesh Films, the upcoming Indian film is a sequel to the 1991 film 'Sadak'.
