Kolkata, Mar 26 (IBNS): Antorshotta, directed by Rik Chatterjee and Bihaan Sen, released on Friday, is a decent attempt to portray the life of two people and how various conditions force them to get separated.

Ujaan Chatterjee, the lead character, falls in love with his classmate Misti, who apart from his mother, is his soul-mate.

However, Misti reveals that she loves someone else and they part ways with Ujaan leading a lonely life.

The film does not pretend to have any extravagance but keeps the audience guessing till the end.

The film features Rajdeep Sarkar and Geetashree Roy in the lead roles.

This is a debut film for Sarkar. Roy is a known face in the television industry, who shot to fame playing the lead in the TV serial, Rashi.

“Yes, I was tense while acting in front of the camera," said Sarkar to IBNS.

"I have worked as a street play artist and in various drama series but this is my first appearance before the camera."

The film also features legendary actor Soumitra Chattopadhyay in a key role.

When asked about the experience of working with Soumitra Chattopadhyay, Roy said, "My character has very little interaction with him, but his presence also meant a lot to us.

Screen and TV actor Tulika Basu and Anindya Banerjee who are also a part of the film were present at the launch.

Singer Jayati Chakraborty, who has sung a few songs in the film, was also a part of the event.

The film is expected to strike a chord with those who are geared to explore the nuances of relationship.
