Kolkata, Aug 16 (IBNS): Meet Bros Anjjan, a trio of music directors, and the Ashiqui 2 fame singer Palak Muchhal released the album of Tollywood film ‘Kkoli’, by debutant director Partha Chakrabarty last week.

The film stars Ruplekha, Heerok, Rajesh Sharma, Kharaj Mukherjee and Locket Chatterjee in lead.

“This is our first Tollywood project, the moment we heard the plot of the story we  liked it so much that we even decided to do the background music of the film. The audience of Kolkata has a great sense of music, I hope they will like it,” said the Meet Brothers who comprise Harmeet Singh, Manmeet Singh and Anjjan Bhatacharya.

The film is by Vignesh Films, maker of the award winning film Icche.

The film is a mix of Bollywood and Tollywood ,. It has four songs in four different flavours. The lyrics are written by Rana Majumder except the song Rajkonna Re that the Bhoomi (Band) fame Surojit Chatterjee has composed.

Singers Shaan and Shreya Ghosal have lent their voice to the track Jodi Chao Hote Pakhi. The songs reflect the journey and emotion of the story. With KKoli, Palak Mucchal has also debuted in the Tollywood industry with the soft romantic number Tumi Acho. The number  Iiletin BIletin  by Aryan Bhattacharya and Meghna Mitra  is good to the ears.

“Kkoli is based on the love story of a simple village girl and and a boy. It is the plot and the music of the film with which every audience can relate themselves. The film revolves around KKoli (Ruplekha), highlighting some incidents, complexities, stipulations and social order blocks that defines the climax of the film. This film is different from those that we see in Tollywood industry recently,” said director Partho Chakraborty.

When asked to describe her character in the film , Ruplekha said, “I play KKoli, who is like a girl next door with whom the audience can easily relate. I am really looking forward to  the success of the film.” She also praised her co actor Heerok for his support.

Kkoli releases this September.
