Anurag Kashyap's inspiration for his film 'Ugly' revealed

Mumbai, Dec 18 (IBNS): A brand new second video, part of the 'behind-the-scenes' video series for 'Ugly' is out now.
This video titled ‘The Basis of Ugly’ features exclusive clips of director Anurag Kashyap and producer Vikramaditya Motwane sharing their experience while shooting for ‘Ugly’.
 
In this video, Anurag Kashyap speaks about his film and his motivation behind it. 
 
“This film comes from everybody wanting something & not doing anything,” said the director.
 
Ugly is partly inspired by his relationship with his daughter, many scenes have been taken from real life situations that the director has come across over the years. 
 
Producer Vikramaditya Motwane said, “I think Ugly is honestly for me- maybe because I’ve known him for so long... I think for me personally his best film since Black Friday.”
 
The first video in the series titled ‘Unmasking Ugly’ released recently. It showcased the characters as they shot for the film. These interesting videos reveal a side of the cast that is completely opposite to their serious roles.
 
‘Ugly’, a film which drives its inspiration from the darker aspects of life has been doing rounds of various film festivals since its international release. Having impressed audiences everywhere, the film will now release in India next week.
 
‘Ugly’ stars Ronit Roy, Tejasvini Kolhapure, Rahul Bhat, Vineet Singh, Girish Kulkarni, Siddhant Kapoor and Surveen Chawla. The movie has been produced by Phantom Films and Dar Motion Pictures Ltd. 
 
The film has created a furore at various International film festivals and is slated to release on December 26..
