Deepika speaks mother tongue in Findng Fanny

Mumbai, Dec 5 (IBNS) While actors often get to essay roles in which they learn new languages, in Finding Fanny Deepika got to speak her mother tongue Konkani.

The film was shot in Goa where Konkani is the main language so while on sets Deepika got a chance to speak and over hear a lot of Konkani from the local crew.

Deepika is well versed with language but while shooting Finding Fanny she got back into the rhythm of speaking the language much more fluently.

In fact even in the movie, Angie’s diction and manner of speaking was deeply Konkani and it made it easy for Deepika to catch up with it.

While Deepika  has essayed various different characters like Veronica in Cocktail to Naina in YJHD  to a south Indian girl Meenama in Chennai  Express to a feisty Gujarati girl in Ram Leela… The character of Angie from Finding Fanny is very close to her.
