Shahid Kapoor to portray Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in his upcoming film

Mumbai/UNI: Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor might be seen portraying the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on the silver screen soon.

It was recently announced that, under the banner of Pooja Entertainment, the film titled 'Ashwatthama: The Saga Continues' will feature Shahid Kapoor as 'Ashwatthama'.

Amidst this, a big update has surfaced regarding Shahid Kapoor’s next film.

According to media reports, it is being discussed that director Amit Ray, known for 'OMG: Oh My God! 2', is planning to make a new film with Shahid Kapoor in the lead role.

This film will be inspired by the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Prior to this, Shahid Kapoor appeared as Maharaja Rawal Ratan Singh in filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film 'Padmaavat'.

Fans are eagerly awaiting Shahid Kapoor's portrayal of the iconic historical figure, and expectations are high for this new venture inspired by the legendary Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s life.
