Animal actor Triptii Dimri has said her parents were taken aback after seeing her intimate scenes with co-actor Ranbir Kapoor in the movie which is setting new record at the Box Office.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, she said: "My parents got a little taken aback. (They said) ‘We have never seen something like this in films and you have done it.’ It took them time to get over that scene."

"They were very sweet to me though. They were like, ‘You shouldn’t have done that but it’s okay. As parents, we will obviously feel this," she said.

Triptii earned appreciation from fans for her short but pivotal role in Animal.

Triptii's growing popularity can be understood from the rapid increase in her Instagram followers.

In the past four weeks, Triptti Dimri's Instagram follower count has grown by 320 percent. She gained 2 million followers, taking her current follower count to 2.7 million on the social media platform, reported Hindustan Times.

Triptii made her Bollywood debut with the movie Poster Boys (2017).

The 29-year-old actress played her first lead role in the romantic drama Laila Majnu (2018).

She gained critical recognition for her performances in Anvita Dutt's period films Bulbbul (2020), Qala (2022), with the former earning her a Filmfare OTT Award.
