Hrithik Roshan lovers need to wait till 2025 Independence Day weekend for War 2

Hrithik Roshan's upcoming spy movie War 2 will be released on Independence Day weekend in 2025, makers confirmed on Wednesday.

Confirming the development, film critic Taran Adarsh posted on X: "#BreakingNews… YRF ANNOUNCES ‘WAR 2’ RELEASE DATE: INDEPENDENCE DAY WEEKEND 2025… The sixth film from #YRFSpyUniverse - #War2 - now has a release date… Get ready for mayhem at the #Boxoffice on 14 Aug 2025."

The movie will be directed by Ayan Mukerji.

A glimpse of War 2 was seen by movie lovers at the end of Salman Khan's Diwali release Tiger 3.

The YRF Spy Universe movies began its journey in 2012 with Ek Tha Tiger.

Roshan became a part of the spy movies with the 2019-released film War which also featured Tiger Shroff.

Shah Rukh Khan also became a part of the spy universe with 2023-released hit movie Pathaan.

War, which was directed by Siddharth Anand, was a massive hit at the Box Office.
