Amitabh Bachchan joins Deepika Padukone, Prabhas starrer Nag Ashwin's film

Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has joined the cast of director Nag Ashwin's upcoming film which stars popular Indian actors Deepika Padukone and Prabhas in the lead roles.

The film, which will be multilingual, is yet to be titled.

Reacting to his entry into the film Bachchan tweeted, "An honour and a privilege to be a part of this momentous and most ambitious venture .. and my greetings for the completion of 50 years for Vyjayanthi Movies .. may you celebrate another 50 .. and on .. !!"

"Beyond Thrilled! Cannot wait for what we believe is going to be an incredible journey ahead..." Padukone had reacted earlier.

While Padukone will star opposite Prabhas for the first time, the 'Cocktail' girl has earlier acted with Bachchan in 2015 Hindi film Piku.

Elated to star alongside Bachchan in the film, Prabhas said on Instagram, " Finally, a dream coming true... Sharing screen space with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan Sir!"

The film, which will be Prabhas' 21st film, is expected to hit the big screens in 2022.
