SC orders CBI inquiry into Sushant death: See how Ankita Lokhande, Kriti Sanon react

Mumbai/IBNS: Ankita Lokhande and Kriti Sanon were one of the actors who had relentlessly demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into Sushant Singh Rajput's death and their wishes came true finally on Wednesday.

The Supreme Court ordered a probe into actor Sushant's death by the CBI on Wednesday.

The top court has held the Bihar government's recommendation of a CBI probe into Sushant's death valid.

Reacting to the Supreme Court order, Sushant's ex-girlfriend Ankita tweeted, "Justice is the truth in action. Truth wins."

Kriti tweeted, "Last 2 months have been extremely restless with everything being so blurry. Supreme Court’s order to let the CBI investigate Sushant’s case is a ray of hope that the truth will finally shine Lets all have faith, stop speculating & let the CBI do their work now!"

Actress Parineeti Chopra tweeted, "This is a positive step. Please let’s respect this moment, and let the CBI do their work now! Please let’s stop speculating and coming to conclusions on our own .."

Sushant had committed suicide at his own flat in Mumbai's Bandra on Jun 14.

Though the Mumbai Police were probing into the suicide, Sushant's father KK Singh lodged a First Information Report (FIR) with Bihar Police alleging that Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty had siphoned off Rs 15 crore from his son's account and other accounts of companies floated with his investments.

As per the recommendation by the Bihar government, the death case was handed over to the CBI by the central government.

However, Rhea, who had earlier requested Union Home Minister Amit Shah for a CBI inquiry into his late boyfriend's death, wanted the case to be transferred to Mumbai Police.

The suicide has created a ripple effect with several actors and netizens calling out Bollywood biggies for encouraging nepotism, allegedly leading Sushant to commit suicide.
