COVID-19: Katrina Kaif requests people to stay at home, stresses on 'social distancing'

Mumbai/IBNS: Remaining in self-quarantine, Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif on Saturday urged all people to stay at home stressing on "social distancing" as the number of positive Novel Coronavirus cases is soaring across the country.

Kaif recorded a video at home and shared it on Instagram.

In a message to her fans and followers, the actress said, "Hi everyone. I am recording this message at home and I hope you are seeing this at home. Social distancing and staying at home are the two critical steps that helps to stop the spread of Coronavirus.

The next 10-15 days are extremely crucial. Please avoid all public places, public transport like trains and buses. We all must do our bit to help the fight in this crisis and please follow the instructions issued by the state government. Stay home, stay safe and take care."

So far in India, at least 284 people have been infected with the virus with Maharashtra recording the most (63).

Kaif, a resident of Mumbai which is in Maharashtra, was earlier seen in an Instagram video trying to play guitar being in self-quarantine.
