Shah Rukh Khan urges all to stay indoors to combat COVID-19

Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has urged all people to stay indoors to combat the deadly Novel Coronavirus which has kept the country on edge over the last few weeks.

Sharing a video on Twitter, Khan has asked people to frequently wash their hands, cover their faces while coughing or sneezing and stay at home if possible.

The actor has also lauded the doctors and hospitals in Maharashtra for serving people at this time keeping their own lives at risk.

Khan has urged all people to unite to combat COVID-19 which has spread across the world.

So far across the country, 258 people including 39 foreigners have been infected with Coronavirus.

Maharashtra has recorded the most number of cases (52) followed by Kerala (40).

Earlier, Khan had supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi's declaration of "Janata Curfew" which will remain in place from 7 am to 9 pm on Sunday.

He had tweeted, "It’s imp 2 reduce social interaction 2 minimum. Self Quarantine.The idea of #JanataCurfew on Sunday is a means to this end & we should continue this concept at a personal level as much as we can & more.We need to ‘slow down time’ to arrest the virus spread. Be safe & healthy all."

During "Janata Curfew", all people have been urged by the Prime Minister to remain indoors.
