Ayushmann's Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan shines on first day, promises to be yet another BO rockstar story

Mumbai/IBNS: Ayushmann Khurrana and his gay comedy Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan shined at the Box Office on the very first day as it earned Rs. 9.55 crores.

The movie, which hit cinema halls on Friday, was the first release of Ayushmann in 2020.

Ayushmann has been maintaining a strong performance at the Box Office for the past couple of years.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: " #ShubhMangalZyadaSaavdhan fares very well on Day 1... #Delhi-#NCR, #Punjab perform best... #Mumbai picks up... Brand #AyushmannKhurrana + #MahaShivratri partial holiday contribute... Important to score on Day 2 and 3... Fri ₹ 9.55 cr. #India biz. #SMZS."

The movie was even appreciated by US President Donald Trump who described it as 'Great'.

Actors  Jitendra Kumar, Ayushmann, Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao are part of the movie.

It is directed by Hitesh Kewalya.

Touted as the first mainstream commercial gay love story in Bollywood, the movie is a standalone sequel to the 2017 film ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’.
