Kolkata/IBNS: Hotstar Specials launched its upcoming web series Out of Love, which stars actors Purab Kohli and Rasika Dugal in the lead roles, here on Wednesday.

Out of Love has been directed by filmmakers Tigmanshu Dhulia and Aijaz Khan.

The web series is an official adaptation of the multi-award winning show, Doctor Foster.

Produced by the BBC Studios, the show highlights the theme of infidelity and disloyalty, showcasing the character of Dr. Meera Gupta whose life is perfect until she finds out that her husband is betraying her as he indulges in an extra-marital affair.

The series revolves around the psychological trauma Dr. Gupta goes through.

When asked about his character, Purab, who made his Bollywood debut with Bas Yun Hi, said, “A character wanting to enjoy life and doesn’t want to address anything wrong. He tries his best to be a responsible husband, he at least intends to. But he is cheating on his wife having a strange philosophy that a person can fall in love with two people.”

"The series is not a message to the public about what to do or what not to do, but it is a take on the theme of infidelity," the 40-year old actor, who played a pivotal role in Netflix's web series Typewriter, added.

The series is set to release on Hotstar VIP on Nov 22.
