Mumbai, Aug 14 (IBNS): At a time the country is debating and discussing the government's scrapping of Article 370, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has announced his next film The Kashmir Files.

The Kashmir Files will deal with the genocide of Kashmiri Hindus.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, "After #TheTashkentFiles, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri announces his next film... Titled #TheKashmirFiles... Aug 2020 release."

The film will release in August 2020.

Agnihotri also tweeted saying it is not an easy story to tell.

Agnihotri tweeted, "Presenting #TheKashmirFiles Next year, same time, on our 73rd Independence anniversary, we will bring you the unreported story of the most tragic and gut-wrenching genocide of Kashmiri Hindus. Please bless our team as it’s not an easy story to tell. #KashmirUnreported"

Earlier, Agnihotri had directed The Tashkent Files, which revolves around the mysterious death of Lal Bahadur Shastri in 1966 after India and Pakistan signed the Tashkent Agreement to end the 1965 war.
