We are ready to help: Donald Trump says on Sri Lanka after series of blasts claim 156 lives

Washington, Apr 21 (IBNS): US President Donald Trump on Sunday condemned blasts in Sri Lanka which claimed 156 lives and disrupted peace in the Island Nation which witnessed several years of civil wars in the past.

Trump said his government is ready to help the people of Sri Lanka at the moment of crisis.

" Heartfelt condolences from the people of the United States to the people of Sri Lanka on the horrible terrorist attacks on churches and hotels that have killed at least 138 million people and badly injured 600 more. We stand ready to help! ," Trump tweeted.

Three churches and four hotels were the target of the blasts which rocked the Island Nation when the country was observing Easter Sunday.

Eight blasts rocked the country and left 300 people injured as officials fear that death toll in the incidents might rise.

No group has claimed responsibility for the blasts.

Meanwhile, two names of suspected suicide bomber, who might be associated with the blasts, have emerged.

The attack at Shangri La hotel was carried out by suicide bomber Zahran Hashim, while Abu Mohammad has been identified as the attacker at the Batticalao church, reported CNN News 18 website.
