Washington Navy Yard on lockdown
Washington, July 2 (IBNS) The US Navy Yard in Washington DC was placed on lockdown on Thursday, officials said.
"The Navy Yard in Washington D.C. is currently on lockdown with orders to shelter in place," read a statement issued by the U.S. Navy.
"No incident can be confirmed as of yet," it said.
A mass shooting was held at the venue in 2013 which left 12 people killed.
According to reports, police are searching buildings in the spot.
