A married couple stabbed and shot each other which eventually killed them during a gruesome fight inside a Washington State home in the USA while their 11-year-old son was playing video game in the other room, media reports said.

The boy was wearing earbuds as his parents were “assaulting each other” on Halloween, officials told New York Post.

He did not realise what happened until he found the bodies.

The victims were identified as Juan Antonio Alvarado Saenz, 38, and Cecilia Robles Ochoa, 39.

Alvarado Saenz died from multiple stab wounds to the chest, police said, while Robles Ochoa was stabbed and shot, the Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office was quoted as saying by the newspaper.

After finding the bodies, the child called 911 for assistance.

A gun and a knife were recovered from the scene.
