Twitter: Elon Musk proposes new policy amid resignation chaos

San Francisco: Twitter's new owner Elon Musk on Saturday announced his plan for content moderation on the popular microblogging app which will deal with freedom of speech and not freedom of reach.

"New Twitter policy is freedom of speech, but not freedom of reach," he tweeted.

"Negative/hate tweets will be max deboosted & demonetized, so no ads or other revenue to Twitter," Musk said.

"You won’t find the tweet unless you specifically seek it out, which is no different from rest of Internet," he said.

He also started a poll on Twitter on whether former US President Donald Trump's account should be reinstated.

"Reinstate former President Trump," he said.

Twitter Inc. on Thursday announced it was temporarily closing its offices after Elon Musk issued employees an ultimatum: Stay with the company “working long hours at high intensity” or quit with three months’ severance pay, reports Bloomberg.
