Istanbul, May 18 (IBNS): Turkish police have arrested 24 people in connection with the coal mine tragedy in Turkey's Soma city on Tuesday, media reports said on Sunday.
"Those detained - who include the general manager of the mine - are being questioned in the western town of Soma, where Tuesday's disaster happened," BBC reported.
As many as 301 people have died in Tuesday’s mine explosion and its aftermath.
Turkish officials have called the mishap as one of the worst-ever mining disasters in the country.
