Turkey: Gunfight in Istanbul leaves six people injured

Istanbul: A gunfight broke out at a shopping mall in Turkey;s capital Istanbul city and left six people hurt.

"After the gunfight incident that broke out between two groups with a prior history of animosity, a total of six citizens, namely five foreign individuals and one Turkish citizen, were transferred to nearby hospitals for treatment," said local officials in a statement as quoted by Chinese news agency Xinhua.

Condition of one of the people injured in the incident is said to be critical.

The suspects were reportedly still on the loose, while law enforcement personnel were trailing them, the statement said.
