TPH partners with Toronto Blue Jays in hosting COVID-19 vaccine clinics
Toronto/IBNS: As part of its efforts to help the residents access all COVID-19 vaccine doses, Toronto Public Health (TPH) is partnering up with the Toronto Blue Jays to host a vaccination clinic at the venue of the team's game against the New York Yankees on Saturday.
The clinic will be organised from 12:30 pm to 6:30 p.m. on the southeast side of Rogers Centre outside gates 6 and 6A on Bremner Blvd, said a news release.
Eligible residents -- age five and older -- would be provided with Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines by the clinic on a walk-in basis with no health card required.
Vaccines will be administered by TPH nurses who will also answer COVID-19 and vaccine-related questions.
The vaccines will be also offered this weekend clinics hosted by TPH at the events including Luminato, Woodbine Park (1695 Queen St. E.), Saturday, from noon to 7:30 p.m.; Yorkville Exotic Car Show, 144 Bloor St. W., Sunday, from noon to 5 p.m.; Riverdale Art Walk, Jimmie Simpson Park (872 Queen St. E.), Saturday, and Sunday, June 19 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
These five City immunization clinics will also offer first, second, third, and fourth doses by appointment or walk-in to eligible residents.
More than 525 local pharmacies,iIndigenous-led vaccination clinics, select primary care offices, and other Team Toronto health care partner clinics are also offering the COVID-19 vaccines to eligible residents.
With COVID-19 continuing to circulate in the community, residents are encouraged to practice public health measures including vaccination, wearing masks, especially indoors and based on the setting and situation, and staying home if feeling unwell, the release said.
