Islamabad/UNI: The Lahore High Court has rejected the post-arrest bail plea of three persons accused of sharing a distorted version of Quran in a WhatsApp group, the media reported on Sunday.

The accused are the members of Ahmadi community.

The cybercrime wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Lahore, had filed a case on the complaint of Mohammad Irfan that Mahmood Iqbal Hashmi, Shiraz Ahmad and others created a WhatsApp group named 'Sindh Salamat' for the propagation of the Ahmadi community’s faith, Dawn reported.

The complainant said the accused had added him to the group and since then he was able to track their activities. He added screenshots in his complaint.

After an inquiry, the agency arrested the suspects. They appealed for the bail in the session’s court but their petitions were dismissed.
