Pakistani customs officials arrest PIA air hostess, two passengers for smuggling iPhones

Pakistani customs officials have seized iPhones worth millions of rupees from a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) air hostess and two passengers in Lahore's Allama Iqbal International Airport, media reports said.

Customs officials revealed that PIA Air Hostess Nadia Batool attempted to smuggle 30 iPhones, worth over Rs 11.2 million, concealed in various parts of her body and belongings, reported ARY News.

Mobile phones valued at Rs 5.5 million were seized from the luggage of two passengers who were identified as Muhammad Arshad and his wife Fariha Amin.

All three passengers were arrested.

A case has also been registered against them.

The Pakistani airlines suspended the arrested air hostess.
