Outrageous, unprecedented, and incorrect: Joe Biden campaign team responds to Trump's victory remark

Washington: Democratic nominee Joe Biden's campaign team has responded to President Trump's premature and unsubstantiated statement on US Presidential election victory and said his remark was 'outrageous'.

Biden for President Campaign Manager Jen O’Malley Dillon said Trump's statement about the legitimacy of yet-to-be-counted ballots "was outrageous, unprecedented, and incorrect", reports BBC.

"It was outrageous because it is a naked effort to take away the democratic rights of American citizens," she was quoted as saying by BBC.

"It was unprecedented because never before in our history has a president of the United States sought to strip Americans of their voice in a national election," she said.

The results of the high-pitched Presidential Election in the United States are coming out on Wednesday.

US President Donald Trump, a Republican candidate, is facing a challenge from Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

As per latest trends, Biden is ahead in 224 seats while Trump is leading in 213.

Trump is fighting to come to power for the second term.
