New York: Train derailment leaves over 100 injured

New York, Jan 4 (IBNS): At least 100 people were injured as a commuter train derailed during rush hour here on Wednesday, media reports said.

The Long Island Railroad train went of the tracks as it arrived at the busy Atlantic Terminal in Brooklyn, BBC reported.

The New York Fire Department said the incident left 103 people injured.

However, the injuries are not life-threatening.

"103 injuries reported at scene of Atlantic Terminal LIRR train derailment, all non-life-threatening," the Department tweeted.

The actual cause of the mishap is not known.
