Massive fire in Dubai skyscraper, no casualty

Dubai, Feb 21 (IBNS) The major fire which had broke out at Torch skyscraper in Dubai has been brought under control, media reports said on Saturday.

No casualty has been reported so far .

Hundreds of residents of the building have been evacuated. The mishap has left many of them homeless.

The blaze started on the 50th floor, a resident told gulfnews.com.

Chunks of masonry on fire were seen falling.

High winds are causing the fire to spread rapidly, a witness told gulfnews.com.

The Marina Torch is 336.1 m (1105 ft) in height.

The tower is considered to be one of the biggest residential building in the world.
