Heavy fire breaks out in US city of Boston

Washington, Mar 16 (Xinhua/UNI) Heavy fire broke out Friday in a factory building in the US city of Boston, local fire department said.

Boston Fire Department responded to a fire erupting from New England Casket company and raised the situation to a seven-alarm fire shortly before 5 pm local time (2100 GMT).

The fire has disrupted traffic on a nearby subway track, and firefighters from the nearby city of Chelsea has also arrived at the scene to battle the fire.

The Boston Fire Department said firefighters are using foam to contain the fire and that it has pulled all firefighters from inside the building due to heavy smoke and fire.
