Regina, Apr 19 (IBNS): The GoFundMe campaign to support the victims of Humboldt Broncos crash which occurred weeks ago, ended on Wednesday, media reports said.

The campaign collected more than $15M which will go straightaway to the memorial fund to help the victims.

Till Wednesday night, more than 140,000 donations have been registered on the GoFundMe page.

Regarding the campaign, Humboldt Broncos president Kevin Garinger said he is grateful for the donations and supports he has received following the tragedy.

Garinger told CTV News, "We didn’t have any expectations…it just speaks to the outpouring of support from our communities and our folks across our nations."

He said a committee will be set up to decide how the donations will be divided among the victims.

The campaign, which is believed to be the largest of its kind in Canadian history, was started by Humboldt, Saskatchewan resident Sylvie Kellington.
