Egypt: Gunmen attacks bus carrying Coptic Christians, 26 killed

Cairo, May 26 (IBNS): Gunmen attacked a bus carrying Coptic Christians in central Egypt that left at least 26 people killed on Friday, media reports said.

According to reports, the incident left 25 others injured.

The bus was travelling to the Monastery of St Samuel the Confessor, 135km (85 miles) south of Cairo, from Minya province when it came under fire," BBC reported.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.

Last month, suicide bombings hit churches in the northern cities of Alexandria and Tanta that left at least 46 people killed.
