Earthquake hits Iran, tremors felt in UAE

Tehran, Feb 10 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter Scale hit Iran on Sunday as tremors of it were felt in the UAE, as per USGS website.

According to the Emirati National Center of Meteorology the quake occurred at around 2:54pm local time, at the depth of 42kms.

The agency, however, put the magnitude of the quake at 5 on the Richter Scale.

No casualty has been reported so far.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology, the quake hit Qeshm island in south Iran, reported Khaleej Times.
