Donald Trump shares Kim Jong Un's letter, calls it a 'nice note'
Washington, July 13 (IBNS): US President Donald Trump on Thursday shared a letter from North Korea's Kim Jong Un in which the Asian leader has voiced hopes for a 'new future' in bilateral relations between the two countries.
The letter is dated July 6.
Trump called the letter as a 'very nice note'.
The letter, however, did not mention of any efforts by North Korea towards denuclearisation.
Denuclearisation was a major issue that was discussed by Kim and Trump during their June 12 meeting in Singapore.
Sharing the letter from Kim, Trump tweeted: " A very nice note from Chairman Kim of North Korea. Great progress being made!."

In the letter, Kim referred to Trump as "Your Excellency" and wrote: "I firmly believe that the strong will, sincere efforts and unique approach of myself and Your Excellency Mr. President aimed at opening up a new future between the DPRK and the US will surely come to fruition."
Meanwhile, in just the latest sign of difficulty, a UN Security Council diplomat told CNN on Thursday that the US submitted a report to the United Nations North Korea Security Council Sanctions Committee charging North Korea with evading UN sanctions through illegal transfers of refined petroleum at sea.
"In a letter Wednesday to the UN, the US asks the world body to call on all members to "exercise enhanced vigilance" against North Korean attempts to procure more petroleum supplies," reported CNN.
