Donald Trump says not concerned about impeachment testimonies
Washington/Sputnik/UNI: US President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House on Friday that he is not concerned about the testimonies that have come to light in the impeachment inquiry against him.
"I'm not concerned about anything, the testimony has all been fine," Trump said.
Moreover, regarding the White House directing Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney to not appear for his scheduled testimony on Friday, Trump said he did not want to give credibility to a corrupt "witch hunt."
This week, the House Intelligence panel released the closed-door impeachment testimonies of former US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs George Kent, former US Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker, former US Ambassador to Ukraine William Taylor, US Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland and former Senior Adviser to the Secretary of State Ambassador Michael McKinley.
On Wednesday, Schiff announced that the House Intelligence Committee will hold its first public hearings in the impeachment inquiry next week.
Taylor and Kent will testify on November 13 while Yovanovitch will testify on November 15.
