Washington, Jun 30 (IBNS): Pretending to be an aide to a New Jersey Senator, comedian John Melendez has recently called US President Donald Trump and later aired the conversation on podcast, media reports said.

Melendez had contacted Trump in disguise of an aide to Senator Robert Menendez.

Trump discussed a range of policy topics with the comedian in the course of the conversation.

According to AFP report, in a recording, which was aired by Melendez, someone like Trump could be heard saying, "You went through a tough, tough situation and I don’t think a very fair situation."

In the audio, two men could be reportedly heard discussing immigration policy as well as the replacement of Anthony Kennedy, who will retire from the US court soon.

The White House neither denied the comedian's claim nor responded to the development.
