Baku/Xinhua: Five people, including two children, were killed and six others injured in a crash involving two passenger cars in the central Azerbaijani district of Kurdamir on Monday, the country's emergency authorities said.

Rescuers pulled out four bodies from the deformed cars, including three females and one 12-year-old boy. The cars collided on a rural road passing through Sor Sor village.

Seven people with different injuries, including a two-year-old boy, were sent to a local hospital. The boy was later pronounced dead by doctors.
