Canada wants answer from Saudi over its role in Khashoggi killing, says Trudeau

Ottawa, Nov 15 (IBNS): Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said his country wants an answer from Saudi Arabia over its alleged role in journalist Jamal Khashoggi's killing in Turkey, media reports said.

Trudeau had earlier said Canadian intelligence officials had heard tapes, which was released by Turkey, of Khashoggi's killing.

Khashoggi went missing on Oct 2. He was last seen alive entering the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul.

He lived in a self imposed exile and was a fierce critic of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, questioning his 'one man show' tactics.

The journalist was visiting the consulate to get paperwork for his upcoming marriage.
