Canada: Nine injured in Toronto shooting, shooter dead

Toronto, July 23 (IBNS): At least nine people were left injured as they were shot by a gunman in Canada's Toronto city on Sunday, media reports said on Monday.

According to media reports, the gunman shot himself and died later.

Witnesses at the scene told Toronto Star described seeing several people on the ground inside Mezes restaurant.

The Toronto Police confirmed the matter and tweeted: " 9 victims shot. Conditions of victims not known yet A young girl is one of the 9 victims. 9 victims does not include the shooter who is dead #GO1341286 ^sm."

The injured people were rushed to hospitals for treatment.
