British PM Boris Johnson's pregnant fiance had COVID-19 symptoms, recovering now

London/IBNS: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's pregnant fiance Carrie Symonds has informed that she had spent the past week with Coronavirus symptoms and is recovering now.

"I've spent the past week in bed with the main symptoms of Coronavirus. I haven't needed to be tested and, after seven days of rest, I feel stronger and I'm on the mend," Symonds was quoted as saying in media reports.

"Being pregnant with COVID-19 is obviously worrying. To other pregnant women, please do read and follow the most up to date guidance which I found to be very reassuring," she added.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Borish Johnson on Friday informed that he continues to remain in isolation after he was tested positive with COVID-19.

Boris Johnson and Symonds had in February announced that they were expecting their first child together and were engaged to get married.
