Belarusian man Yefimchyk, who was known as 'most monstrous bodybuilder' dies after suffering heart attack

A Belarusian man, who was known as the “most monstrous bodybuilder” in the world, has died after suffering a heart attack.

Illia “Golem” Yefimchyk was 36.

His death was confirmed by an Instagram page named @whoisthebestbb which read: "Close sources confirm the death of Illia Golem, the 340 LBS beast. Rest in peace ♥️🙏🏻."

The athlete allegedly suffered a heart attack at home on Sept. 6 and fell into a coma, the Daily Mail reported quoting New York Post, citing Belarusian and Russian media.

His wife reportedly performed chest compressions on him when the couple waited for the ambulance.

“I spent every day by his side, hoping, and his heart started beating again for two days, but the doctor gave me the terrible news that his brain had died,” the grieving widow told the local media as quoted by New York Post.

Who was Illia “Golem” Yefimchyk?

Yefimchyk claimed he ate seven massive meals everyday.

His meal reportedly included 108 pieces of sushi and 2.5 kilograms of steak.

His extreme diet reportedly included up to 16,500 calories per day.

The death of the Belarusian bodybuilder came just months after British bodybuilder Neil Currey, 34, and Brazilian competitor Antonio Souza, 26 died.

Former Mr Olympia competitor Neil Currey, 34,was found dead in his apartment in  Sheffield in September 2023.

The parents of a professional bodybuilder have blamed his use of steroids for his death, reported BBC.
