Bank of Canada to announce interest rate today

| @indiablooms | Apr 18, 2018, at 09:37 pm

Ottawa, Apr 18 (IBNS): The Bank of Canada will announce the interest rate on Wednesday, media reports said.

The eyes are on whether the interest rate will be hiked or not.

However, economists predicted that Canada will keep the interest rate unchanged at 1.25 per cent.

A day ago, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) projected an economic growth of 2.1 percent for Canada this year.

Scotiabank Capital Markets economist Derek Holt has been quoted by CTV news saying the Bank of Canada is facing "a conundrum of sorts".
