Bangladesh: Unknown men kill Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal leader

Dhaka/IBNS: Unknown men have hacked to death a local leader of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), the student body of Bangladesh's political party BNP, media reports said on Saturday.

The incident happened in the country's Bochaganj upazila of Dinajpur.

The deceased person was identified as M Majnur Rahman (32).

Ayub Ali, officer-in-charge of Bochaganj Police Station, told The Daily Star a group of 7-8 miscreants swooped on Majnur at Bakultola at around 11:30pm and stabbed him indiscriminately with sharp weapons, leaving him injured critically. 

Majnur died on the way to M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital in Dinajpur, the OC told the newspaper.

The motive behind the murder is still not known.
