Bangladesh: Road mishap leaves nine people killed

Dhaka/IBNS: A microbus and a bus collided on Bangladesh's Dhaka-Mawa Highway in Munshiganj area and left nine people killed, media reports said.

The mishap left 13 people injured.

The deceased are Rashid Bepari, 70, Liza, 24, Tabassum, 6, Renu, 12, Keramat Bepari, 70, Mofizul Molla, 65, Tahsan, 4, and the microbus driver Billal, 40. Most of the deceased were a groom's party travelling in the microbus, reported Dhaka Tribune.

Six of them died on the spot, two died after being taken to a local hospital while another died under treatment at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Munshiganj Superintendent of Police Md Zaidul Alam told the newspaper.

Three others are undergoing treatment at two different hospitals in Dhaka.
