Bangladesh: Police surround suspected militant den in Narayanganj

Dhaka, Sept 23: Suspecting that it might be a military den, Bangladeshi police force have cordoned off a building at Narayanganj's Fatullah area on Monday, media reports said.

According to reports, the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police is conducting the operation.

CTTC Deputy Commissioner (DC) Saiful Islam told Dhaka Tribune that upon receiving information that the building is a possible militant hideout, they conducted a drive there.

He said: "We are still in operation. Details regarding the matter will be disclosed later."
