Air India unveils ‘Cloud Chasers’

Flying with kids? Air India’s new ‘Cloud Chasers’ could change everything

| @indiablooms | May 11, 2026, at 06:21 pm

Air India, the Tata Group-owned airline major, has announced the launch of Cloud Chasers, a comprehensive new programme aimed at enhancing the travel experience for families and young flyers.

Designed as a holistic offering for all of Air India’s child-centric products and services, Cloud Chasers celebrates the joy of discovery and the spirit of childhood curiosity, inviting young travellers to explore the world with imagination.

The launch comes at a time when family travel is witnessing strong growth, with the segment expanding by 13 per cent between 2024 and 2025, reinforcing the need for thoughtfully designed experiences for children and their parents.

A key highlight of the programme is the introduction of a playful new avatar of Air India’s iconic Maharaja. Moving beyond his traditional role, the reimagined Maharaja appears as a young, adventurous and imaginative companion who will guide children through their travel journey.

This refreshed avatar will feature across various touchpoints, including onboard engagement kits and personalised First Flight Certificates.

What Cloud Chasers Offers Young Flyers

Playful onboard activity kits

Children aged 3 to 9 years travelling on marquee long-haul and ultra-long-haul flights lasting more than eight hours will receive vibrant activity kits featuring puzzles, games, drawing sections and discovery prompts, all themed around Cloud Chasers branding.

Personalised First Flight Certificates

To celebrate a child’s first flying experience, Air India has redesigned its popular First Flight Certificate. Signed by the captain and crew, the certificate serves as a memorable keepsake. Parents can request one onboard.

Curated entertainment and games

The airline’s Vista inflight entertainment system offers over 130 hours of child-friendly content through its dedicated Kids Zone. This is complemented by Vista Stream, which passengers can access on personal devices, offering more than 35 hours of additional content.

Through partnerships with global content creators such as Moonbug Entertainment and Red Bull TV, Air India is progressively expanding its animated and educational programming for children aged 3 to 13 years.

Interactive features include Kids Maps and games such as UNO, Angry Birds, Chess and Ludo Race, making the digital experience more immersive.

The airline has also collaborated with Vobble to offer informative audio stories designed to reduce screen time while keeping children engaged.

Added Convenience for Parents

To make travel smoother for families, Cloud Chasers integrates several practical services:

Priority boarding for families with children across airports
Priority check-in assistance, wherever operationally feasible
Infant meals and bassinet seats on select domestic and international flights
24/7 customer support and dedicated assistance from Air India’s cabin crew trained to support families travelling with young children

Air India’s Vision for Family Travel

Rajesh Dogra said the initiative reflects the airline’s long-term vision for family travel.

“With Cloud Chasers, we are reimagining what it means for families with kids to fly Air India. We have carefully designed thoughtful experiences that make journeys more joyful and engaging for our youngest travellers,” he said.

He added that the programme marks the first phase of a broader strategy, with more family-focused enhancements expected in the future as Air India continues to elevate its customer experience.
