Ahmedabad, Nov 5 (IBNS): This Diwali, Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, welcomed its guests travelling to India with various celebrations to mark the week-long festive season. Guests travelling from Abu Dhabi to Ahmedabad were presented with specially designed boarding passes to mark the festival.

Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights and colours, spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and hope over despair. Creating Rangoli decorations is a timeless tradition followed all over the country, one that not only signifies good luck but also is used to welcome guests home.

Upon arrival at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, Etihad Airways’ guests were encouraged to create an enormous Rangoli using their festive boarding passes which contained a part of the larger design. The Rangoli showcased an airplane in the center and the airline’s signature ‘Facets of Abu Dhabi’ design. To add to the festivities, guests were greeted with traditional Indian sweets prepared by Etihad Airways’ catering team.

Etihad Airways has been operating in India since 2004, and will continue to strive to offer customers a memorable experience.
