Rajkot/IBNS: Yashasvi Jaiswal's consecutive hundreds including a double ton on day 3 of third Test against England helped India to extend their lead over the visitors in Rajkot on Saturday.

Before retiring from the field for back spasm, Jaiswal slammed 104 off 133 balls helping India to score 196/2 at stumps with a lead of 322 runs over England.

Shubman Gill, who kept the other end solid when Jaiswal went for big hits, is unbeaten at 65 off 120 balls along with nightwatchman Kuldeep Yadav.

India take healthy lead over England

Mohammed Siraj's raging spell post lunch on day 3 powered India to bowl out England for 319 in the first innings.

India took a healthy lead of 126 runs from the first innings over England.

After the lunch, Siraj sent back skipper Ben Stokes for 41, Ben Foakes for 13 and Rehan Ahmed for 6 to shatter England's dream to post a big total in the first innings.

Kuldeep Yadav, who brought India back in the game in the morning, picked two wickets for 77 while Jadeja picked as many wickets for 51 runs.

Joe Root was the first man to be dismissed in the morning.

Yashasvi Jaiswal picked Root in the slip off Kuldeep's delivery sending Root back to the hut scoring only 18.

Jonny Bairstow soon followed Root being dismissed leg before wicket by Bumrah, who has the best economy rate for India so far.

Duckett, who scored the bulk of the English runs, continued with his fiery batting but again Kuldeep came into play by removing him for 153 off 151 balls.

India scored 445 in the first innings.
