Melbourne/IBNS: Indian cricket icon Virat Kohli was engaged in a heated exchange with the Australian media stepping into Melbourne where the South Asian team will take on Australia for the fourth Test.

In a video which is floating on social media, Kohli was seen having a heated conversation with a woman journalist at the Melbourne airport.

Later, he was heard telling the media, "With my kids, I need some privacy yeah? You can't film without asking me."

As per reports, the former India captain was irked by several Australian journalists' attempt to capture the batter with his family.

It is being reported that some journalists were interviewing Australian pace bowler Scott Boland at the airport.

When Kohli came out of the airport, the cameras panned towards him. He was reportedly not happy with Channel7 cameras shifting focus on him and his family.

However, later it has been reported that it was Kohli's misunderstanding and his family was not filmed.

Channel7 reporter Theo Doropoulos said, "It was upon seeing the waiting cameras that Kohli became a little heated over what is largely a misunderstanding when he thought the media was filming him with his children."

For the beginners, Kohli and his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, decided to not reveal their children's faces in public.

The couple, who got married in 2017, are parents to daughter Vamika and son Akaay.

The veteran cricketer, who has been struggling with form in recent times, slammed an unbeaten century in the second innings of the inaugural Australia-India Test in Perth.

However, the 36-year-old has failed in both the second and third Tests, drawing flak for getting dismissed in off-stump balls.

The fourth Test will be held in Melbourne from December 26 to 30.
