West Indies cricket icon Chris Gayle thanks India, PM Modi for gifting COVID-19 vaccine to Jamaica

New Delhi: West Indies cricket icon Chris Gayle, who is known for his flamboyant batting, thanked the Indian government for gifting the COVID19 Vaccines to Jamaica.

In his video message, Gayle said: "PM Modi, the Government of India and the people of India, I want to thank you all for your donation of the vaccine to Jamaica. We appreciate it.”

He also met Indian High Commissioner R. Masakui.

The Indian High Commission in Jamaica tweeted: "The Universe Boss! @henrygayle called on High Commissioner Shri R. Masakui at@hcikingston today.He thanked #India for gifting the #COVID19 Vaccines to #Jamaica and shared how much he loves being in India.@hcikingstonwishes Chris Gayle all the very best for@IPL2021."

Chris Gayle is known for his charismatic batting and hitting huge sixes.

In the Indian Premier League, Gayle has played for several teams like Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

In IPL, he will be best remembered for his stint with RCB.
