New Delhi, July 31 (IBNS): V K Dhall, President of West Bengal Rifle Association and Vice President of National Rifle Association of India, has been nominated as the Manager of Indian Shooting Team for Rio Olympic Games.

Dhall, who was also honoured by International Shooting Sports Federation with a silver Medal and a Diploma this month for his excellent service as Director of Competition of Asia Olympic Qualifying Competition held at New Delhi this year, is going to be the first from Bengal to lead Indian National Shooting Team to an Olympic.

It may also be noted that Shooting is that discipline in which India is doing better and better in Olympics since 2004.

Last year it was Joydeep Karmakar who made Bengal proud with his superb shooting skill but unfortunately, missed a podium finish.

This year 12 shooters from India are going aim their fingers at coveted Olympic Medal. Though no shooter from Bengal got to participate in the Rio Olympics, the sole official and leader of Indian Olympic Shooting team will be from Bengal.
